After
seeing dog agility on Animal Planet for years, several people
joined together in 2002 to form an agility club and to create a training
facility in Eagle, Colorado. We "imported" an
instructor from the Roaring Fork Valley, built a full set of equipment,
fenced off a 50' x 50' area of my property and from day one, I was
hooked. In 2003, recognizing that our "training facility" was woefully
inadequate, I decided to establish Foxfield Agility Center. I expanded
the agility course to 100' x 100', purchased a full set of
professionally-built equipment and hired an instructor. I also had
started taking classes from the "experts" on the Front Range and
attended every agility seminar and camp I could. In May 2007, my dog Becket and I earned our Master Agility Champion (MACH) title, the top award in the American Kennel Club's agility competition. In December 2007, we earned our MACH2. We are consistently among the top 10 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels competing in AKC agility and qualified for the AKC National Championships in 2007 and 2008.
Foxfield Agility offers agility instruction from May through October. To find out more about our agility facility, please click the agility link at the top of this page.
Recognizing that our dogs are truly athletes, in 2006 we changed our dogs' diets--considerably. We began feeding raw and using only natural products for treats and chews. With seven dogs in the family, this was a significant undertaking. The results are amazing. Because we had to either special order the products from local pet stores or "stock up" on our frequent trips to the Front Range, Foxfield Agility introduced its Store in 2008, primarily to serve our many agility students who have switched to healthy diets for their own pets. We also carry a full line of products that we have found to be invaluable in our home and for agility trials. Please see our Store page for more information.
