What is Foxfield Agility Center?

Foxfield Agility Center opened in Spring 2003 as a private enterprise to introduce people to the amazing sport of dog agility. It is owned and operated by Jennifer Scroggins, who competes with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel--MACH2 Sir Becket of the Rockies, OF ("Becket"). She has two puppies in training--Castlekeep Humdinger ("Hummer") and Castlekeep Marcel ("Bip") She is dedicated to and serious about providing a fun, safe, and supportive opportunity for you to learn about and participate in the sport of agility with your canine companion.

Our primary focus is on training you in how to safely participate in the sport of agility. We use equipment that is built to American Kennel Club (AKC) standards, but the skills you learn can be used universally. We provide instruction that will enable you to train for and compete (if you desire) in trials licensed by the four different agility associations in the United States -- AKC, UKC, NADAC, and USDAA. Many of you may be familiar with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and United Kennel Club (UKC), which generally provide for the regulation and registration of pure bred dogs. Among other types of competition, they also regulate agility competitions. The other two national organizations that are solely dedicated to the sport of dog agility are the North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC) and the United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA). We will provide you with more information about each of these organizations during your training.

We also provide quality equipment and a place to practice for those people who are interested in competing or those who just want a safe, professional environment. For our more advanced classes, the handler and dog must be at a level as to know what they are doing. It is a time and place to get together discuss problems, weak points, accomplishments etc. and have a full size course on which to practice.
